Overview
Alfa Coders ("we", "us", "our") provides website development, mobile app development, digital marketing, SEO, social media marketing, and graphics design services from Palanpur, Gujarat, India. This policy explains what information we collect through alfacoders.com and while delivering client projects, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
This policy applies to visitors of this website and to clients and prospective clients who share information with us through our contact form, email, phone, or in the course of a project. It does not apply to the websites, apps, or ad accounts we build or manage for clients — those are covered by the individual privacy policy each client publishes for their own end users.
Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: what you submit to us directly, what's generated automatically as you browse this site, and what we receive from you in the course of an active project.
Information you submit directly:
- Contact form — name, email address, the service you're interested in, and your message.
- Email or phone — anything you choose to share when reaching out directly.
- Project onboarding — brand assets, account access (e.g. hosting, domains, ad accounts, analytics), content, and any other material needed to scope or deliver a project.
Information collected automatically:
- Standard server and hosting logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL, timestamps) used for security and troubleshooting.
- Your light/dark theme preference, stored in your browser's local storage so the site remembers your choice on your next visit.
- If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future (for example Google Analytics or a Meta Pixel), this policy and our Cookie Policy will be updated before those tools go live, and cookie consent will be requested where required by law.
How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries and quote, scope, and deliver projects.
- To set up and manage the accounts, integrations, and campaigns a project requires (e.g. hosting, domains, ad platforms, analytics).
- To send project updates, invoices, and — only if you've agreed to it — occasional updates about our services.
- To maintain the security, performance, and legal compliance of our own website and business.
- To meet accounting, tax, and other legal obligations under Indian law.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use client project data for any purpose beyond delivering and supporting that project.
Client project data & confidentiality
Many of our projects involve access to systems that contain your own customers' data — a client's CRM, ecommerce store, booking system, or ad account, for example. In that context, we act on your instructions as a service provider, not as the owner of that data.
- We only access client systems and data to the extent needed to deliver the agreed scope of work.
- We do not share, resell, or repurpose client data for any project other than the one it was provided for.
- Access credentials are handled on a need-to-know basis within our team and removed once a project or retainer ends, unless you ask us to retain them for ongoing support.
- If a project requires a separate data processing agreement (for example, to meet your own compliance obligations), we're glad to sign one before work begins.
Data retention
We keep contact-form and enquiry information for as long as it's useful for following up, and no longer than 24 months if no project results. Project-related information and records are kept for the duration of the engagement plus the period required under Indian tax and accounting law (currently up to 8 years for financial records). You can ask us to delete information sooner, subject to those legal retention requirements.
Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — access controls, encrypted connections, and limiting access to a need-to-know basis — to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we treat any suspected breach seriously and will notify affected clients without undue delay where required by law.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and general good practice, you can ask us to:
- Confirm what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that's inaccurate or out of date.
- Delete your information, subject to our legal retention obligations.
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@alfacoders.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
Children's privacy
Our services are intended for businesses and individuals who are at least 18 years old. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, and if we become aware that we have, we'll delete it promptly.
International visitors
We're based in Gujarat, India, and the information we collect is primarily processed and stored in India, though some of the third-party tools we use (hosting, analytics, ad platforms) may process data on servers outside India. By using this site or working with us, you understand your information may be transferred internationally in that limited context.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision, and material changes will be highlighted on this page or communicated directly to active clients.
